Learn how to create healthy food using seasonal and cheap ingredients from the farmers market and Faith in Action’s pantry. Faith in Action (FIA) is just down the street from the farmers market so it’s easy to get cooking tips and then head over and do your shopping.

Drop in anytime between 3:00 and 5:00 pm at FIA to get cooking and storage tips, recipe ideas, and information on preparing meals that are quick and affordable. Try samples from our cooking demonstration.
Demonstrations take place Wednesdays 3-5 pm on:
July 20 – Instructor Yael Dolov will demonstrate how to use and store ingredients in season right now: greens, peas, squash and zucchini, and more. She will also highlight ingredients from FIA’s pantry.
August 17 – Instructor Kathy Carter will go over preserving techniques for seasonal foods, and cooking ideas for other in season vegetables, as well as showcasing ingredients from FIA’s pantry.
September 21 – Instructor Judy Radant will talk about fall recipe ideas using squash and pumpkins, root vegetables, cabbage and others.
